BSF DIG arrested for involving in Sex scandal in Kashmir, sent to jail

Srinagar, June 7: BSF Deputy Inspector General of Police K S Padhi, allegedly involved in the sex scandal in the Valley, surrendered before the CBI and was sent to jail
Padhi, who approached the CBI camp office in the morning, surrendered after which he was placed under arrest, agency sources said.
The scandal which rocked Kashmir Valley was first reported by The Indian Express, in which many top level officials and politicians were involved.
He will be produced before a designated court after which a Test Identification Parade before the victim, would be done. The minor girl has named Padhi as one of the 11 persons who allegedly raped her.
Additional Advocate General Anil Sethi is also facing an arrest warrant by Chief Judicial Magistrate, Srinagar, in connection with the scandal.
On Tuesday, Padhi appeared before the registrar of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court that directed him to surrender to the Chief Judicial Magistrate or the CBI.
